Professor Ray Rodgers

 Professor Ray Rodgers is a graduate of the University of Melbourne (1984) and undertook a post-doctoral fellowships at University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center, Dallas (1984-1986), and at Prince Henry’s Institute for Medical Research (1987-1989). He has been a QEII fellow, a BBSRC fellow and a NHMRC fellow (1993-2016). He was recently the Interim Director of the Robinson Research Institute (2021-2023) and is Convenor or Reproductive Health Australia (2021 to present).

He conducts largely basic research into reproductive biology, focusing on the mammalian ovary and its endocrine functions. His team have been researching the aetiology of polycystic ovary syndrome since 2007. They believe they are close to discovering its cause.
