Dr Ingrid Bretherton works at the Austin Hospital Gender clinic and a researcher at the University of Melbourne.

She is the recipient of various awards including the Australian Postgraduate Award and Rowden White Scholarship (University of Melbourne), Endocrine Society Australia Travel Award, the US Endocrine Society Early Careers Forum Travel Award and the AMRF Bernie Sweet Fellowship.

She has completed a PhD looking at the effects of hormone therapy on bone and metabolic health in gender diverse Australians.
