Dr Ellen Czabania

Dr Ellen Czabania (nee Swan) is a Commercialisation Manager at Flinders University, where she is responsible for the management and commercialisation of University intellectual property (IP), largely in the areas of health and medicine. She is driven by a desire to make new, effective medicines accessible and ultimately improve patient outcomes.

She has previously supported the commercialisation of IP for medical technologies arising from Central Adelaide Local Health Network, including the Royal Adelaide Hospital, The Queen Elizabeth Hospital and SA Pathology. She has supported researchers in securing funding to develop their early-stage technologies, form partnerships with strategic industry partners, and develop their commercialisation and IP strategies.

She holds a PhD in Medicinal Chemistry from the University of Adelaide – her research experience spanning synthetic medicinal chemistry and molecular biology assists her in supporting the development of various therapeutics and biotechnologies.
