Dawn Alison Lewis

Dawn is an Oxford educated woman of Woolwonga (Aboriginal) and British descent currently completing her doctoral research in Indigenous genomics at the University of Adelaide. She is a member of the Australian Alliance for Indigenous Genomics (ALIGN) has been a key organiser of the SING Australia Indigenous Genomics workshop since 2020. Her research encompasses Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people and their connection to land, water, plants and animals. As such, her priority is always to respect the sovereignty of each Indigenous Nation, their living Elders and their Old People.
